What meter is best?

I use the Accu-chek Advantage now, but it's kinda old. What are some good newer ones? I like my Advantage, but the idea of a faster meter is appealing.

This is a common question. Meters all have their bells and whistles, and I really can't give a good answer to this question.

Personally, I use the One Touch Ultra for one reason. The main reason I use it is because I have found it to be the most accurate option. However, many people think the Ultra requires too large of a blood sample. If you are one of these people, I suggest you go with the BD Logic, or just get a new Aviva. Even though the Freestyle meters do not require much blood, I do not recommend them just because I have found them to be the most inaccurate (many might disagree with me on this though).

I really like my Freestyle Flash. It's small, doesn't take much blood, has been accurate in my experiences, and has cool lights to make testing in the dark easy. I like the Utlra 2 too. The before and after meal averages are helpful.

I like the Freestyle flash to. It works really good and I can see where my blood is supposed to go, even in the dark.

I do not know which one is better than any other, but I do know that you can get a free one from any site. May as well try it if it's free right?
